Where to Go in July



Time really flies so fast. It’s already the middle of 2016!

Have you had the chance to travel last summer?

When to go: Anytime in July

What’s Up: It is best time to surf during the rainy season. It is during this time that waves are usually bigger, which is ideal for surfing.

What to visit: La Union Surf School for your surfing needs. You can stay at the artsy Flotsam and Jetsam. And enjoy your coffee at El Union.

When: Early in July

What’s Up: Every July, Bohol celebrates the Sandugo Festival, that commemorates the Treaty of Friendship between Datu Sikatuna  and Spanish conquistador, Miguel Lopez de Legazpi (History class, remember?). It is a great time to explore Bohol and at the same time learn about their history and culture!

What to visit: The famous Chocolate Hills. Visit the Tarsier Conservatory. Have lunch at Loboc Floating Restaturant.

When: Anytime in July

What’s Up: Boracay is always associated with summer, crowd and party. But if you want to see Boracay as a serene place with less crowd and low rates, it’s best to go during the rainy season. You can find your own place in the beach front, no queues in the activities, no crowded restaurants and there are no green moss at the beach!

What to visit: Spend the night at the Spider House where you can dive straight into the sea or enjoy the sunset view in one of the best spots in the island. And the best thing – low season room rates!

When: Anytime in July

What’s Up: July is considered their peak summer month. It’s the most ideal time to enjoy their pristine, white-sand beaches. Also, they have festivals in July such as Ultra Music Festival and International Folklore Festival.

What to visit: There is a must-see museum in Croatia named Museum of Broken Relationships which is dedicated to failed love relationships. They have a collection of personal items left by former lovers with descriptions about it.

Tokyo, Japan

When: Latter part of July (rainy season should be over by July 20)

What’s Up: If you have visited Japan during the Cherry Blossom Season, and you opt to visit Japan again during the low season, July is the best time to do it. Less crowd +  cheaper accommodation. Also, you can attend their famous Sumida River Firework Festival.

What to visit: To maximize your Japanese experience, watch a wrestling match in Tokyo’s National Sumo Hall. Or enjoy a 360 degree panorama view of Tokyo at the Tokyo tower. And don’t forget your authentic ramen and sushi experience.


No matter what the month is, there is always a best place for you to visit. You just have to consider the weather, the season, your time, and your budget.

Give yourself a break sometimes and indulge your body with what it deserves – a good vacation!
