I have long been curious about Bulacan’s fascination (or obsession) with pool resorts.
As a kid who grew up in the north, our quick escape will always be a short out-of-town trip to Bulacan. A refreshing day by the pool with the family, a cooler of beer and soda, picnic baskets of packed lunch, and some memories of either drowning or someone learning how to swim are classic Bulacan memories.
This trip to Bulacan is no different but the 5 hectares of Los Arcos de Hermano Resort made it seem like a totally different place– a secluded world in its own.
Tucked in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, an hour away from Manila, Los Arcos de Hermano Resort is a vying option to the hot and trending staycation fad.
Bulacan also seems to have a fascination for life size figurines.
These are scattered all over the resort.
We’ve come to a point during our stay in Los Arcos when our landmarks are, “find me across Hulk, Thor, and Ironman. #truestory
So if you’re an Avengers fan, you might be feeling giddy about this.
Here’s a photo taken from another resort in Bulacan
A basic room for 4. If you have a thing for space, you may use this as a room for two, as we did.
A room for two. Eyes on you, love birds.
Details in Acacia Cafe. The breakfast place.
There is an old 80s feel in the resort’s architecture
What You Can Do in Los Arcos de Hermano Resort
Videoke Party by the Pool
Who said beer and coconut juice can’t mix? The guys certainly begged to disagree!
After a bottle or two, the videoke machine can’t stop! We won’t stop!
There’s a surplus of space for the whole company. You can get as physical and adventurous as setting up an obstacle race in their super open grounds. You can literally do as creatively as your activity-conceptualizing mind can fathom to build that team and create the strongest foundation. They have the space for you!
This dorm-type room can foster an environment where everyone can get to know each other while in PJs– a type of camaraderie that builds strong friendships beyond the workplace.
Hold your conference, seminar, workshop in 1 of their 5 halls or their garden
Do a photowalk
Green efforts like this are always appreciated. Low cost and totally functional!
This is the first place Mr Hermano visits while in the resort. If you’re also into fishing, gear up and visit Los Arcos.
Play basketball and then jump in the pool after!
Pick pomelos from the tree
The resort has a variety of plant life ready for harvest. It gives you a day of a haciendera experience where your garden bears edible, organic fruits! In a city life where you can barely see a tree, a front row view of a bountiful guava tree brings back childhood memories.
Swim, of course
Hold your intimate wedding
Why wait for the long weekend or the seat sale when at any given day, you can gather the troop and head on to Los Arcos de Hermano for a weekend solitude, party riot, or a pool work-out, whichever floats your boat!
