Handmade for Travel by Sidlan: Beach Mat + Beach Bag + Blanket
A 3-month nonstop backpacking around the Philippines led Zel of Sidlan to address what has been a common pain point for beach goers– their sarongs or beach mats just needed corner weights so the wind won’t fly them away.
After 3 months of interacting with travelers and beachlovers, she knew she wanted to create a product to serve their basic beach needs. So she designed a product that’s multi-purpose. She understood that travelers on-the-go need versatile items to allow them to travel light and be as mobile as possible without the back strain.
Sidlan is made of sand repellant and quick-dry fabric that converts to beach bag after a day of sun bathing in the beach. Just a few pulls and folds and you’re ready to go without having to carry another bag for your valuables.
It also serves as a blanket where you can tuck your self inside to keep you warm and fuzzy during your next bus ride or a camping trip.
Sidlan employs local neighborhood seamstresses in Parañaque. Designed and made in the Philippines by a Filipina.
We are proud to carry another brainchild of a young local entrepreneur (in her 20s and already trying to make the (traveling) world a better place). Sidlan and Travel Finds are one in pushing the traveling and bohemian lifestyle forward while providing livelihood to local artisans and making use of local materials.
